Introduction:

This device is for checking anti-skid performance of roads and airport runway, can be used both in lab and in-situ.

The apparatus consists of a spring loaded rubber slider mounted on a pendulum arm. The arm can be adjusted vertically from a rigid support column. 

The basement has three adjustable feet which is stable while operating directly on a road surface.

The tester measures the energy loss when a rubber slider edge is propelled over the surface of the road or sample.
